Great ride out today. :D Thanks to all who trundled along.

Mike took us along Chipstead valley road then round to Epsom through some very messy roads, debris and water everywhere but all part of the fun. We all did the Ranmore climb which I've not done before and its a bit of a tease, you thing its quite easy but its deceptive and a right little leg tester. Steve B and I said goodbye to everyone else at the top and headed back over Boxhill and onto home, not before having a serious speed blast down the 217 towards Sutton, cheers for that Steve :D

oh and I've never seen so many cyclists mending punctures as I did today, there were casualties everywhere you looked. :(

Sorry we missed you Marcus.........

Top ride though today, thanks to Mike for the route through Epsom etc - I hope yours & Ben trip up Leith (and White Hill?!) was as good as the rest of the ride. Thanks to all of the others for the company and agreeable pace! Yes, Ranmore is a deceptive little so and so, don't know why we don't use it sometimes to extend the CR home if peeps' legs are feeling good, that way you get the pay off of the fast decent into Dorking. Didn't really have the legs for Leith today so a nice return home with Andy via the cheeky cut through Kingswood Warren,(also allowing us to appreciate just how tasteless money makes some peeps!).

Will probably be riding next Sunday as well as off to a Birthday party on Sat day/evening (with a few Belgium brews to be sunk..roll out the Duvel!).

Many thanks for organising the ride, i did find it quite hard being new to the sport but still enjoyed it.
Thanks for every one who waited and pointed me in the right direction.

I followed Mike up a few more hills and lagged behind on the descents. It's a decent loop of the surrey hills. So thanks Mike for showing me.

I joined the list that had punctures. Though the sun was out and on the way back from Boxhill, the tail wand was fantastic.
