[quote="Snoop Doug"]I just think that a book written in a few years time with the benefit of the massive success I believe he will enjoy, would be more authentic for the reader, and more importantly, real for the writer.

Cheers - Snoop

Yeah, and after he's been on "I'm a celebrity..." or "Strictly..."

The easy answer is if you don't agree or don't like the idea of the book, don't buy it.

I hope there was no subversive implication in that last comment, Marco!

Agree totally with Marek.

Make hay while the sun shines.

Sure he may not have lived a full professional life but what's to say he won't be a flash in the pan? Or our interest in him wane? If our celeb-obsessed "culture" means he'll sell more books now then all strength to his elbow. Better a queue at Waterstones when you're seen as a potential British Lance than gathering dust on a shelf next to some 30-year old rant from Paul Kimmage.

Professional cycling seems to me about the hardest way to earn a living in sport. Better to milk it now for all it's worth and maximise your earnings.

Money may not bring happiness, but it sure as hell beats being poor; and you can still look at the pretty flowers, smell new-mown grass (cut by your gardener whose family you are helping to support), cuddle kittens and all the other fluffy stuff.

Quite. It's not like you suggested we all rush out and buy this

Personally, though, I shall save my shillings until the autobiography of Jedward comes out  .
