Hi, following the committee meeting I attended, and as I understand it, this matter will be considered by a specially identified group after Christmas. As yet I am unaware who or with what terms of reference.

Notwithstanding, Colin Batemen copied this and even if we were not to change kit it would seem prudent to let this company quote for new kit in case we can be offered better pricing or quality. Perhaps the group might consider this within their remit.

Can i just say as a new member of acc i think the club kit looks really good.I know I havnt been wearing it long so i not bored with it yet but compared to a lot of other clubs colours it looks smart and very distinctive. Its easily spotted and stands out. Ive seen it on the humanrace website and i thought i saw it on the bbc today regarding cyclo cross. I for one think the santini quality for the price is ok. I also think that when you deal with a supplier directly although there are savings to be made getting an order togeather can cause headaches at least with gb you can try it for size and feel the quality before you hand over your cash. As ive read on this thread peoples taste do differ quite a bit but i cant belive that people join or not on the basis of kit colour and as for not many woman wearing the kit i think thats because most team sport tops cycling, football rugby etc are quite masculine .woman seem to go for softer single coloured tops well my wife does anyway. Plus i just spent £200 so can we leave it alone!!!!!!

Assuming that I'm re-elected to the committee at the AGM, I've volunteered to chair the sub-committee tasked with looking into the kit - we will not only be looking at the design, but also: the implications of any change, the supplier, the stockist and distribution, pricing, the sponsorship question and anything else relevent.

I will be looking for volunteers to help with the tasks.

My plan is to move it along fairly quickly, with fortnightly meetings, starting in the week after Christmas and reporting progress to the committee meetings.

Any volunteers, please let me know below.

Alan and Toks, I assume you are in and will be willing to come to meetings in Bromley.

I must say upfront, that I hate paying to advertise, so any sponsorship of the kit will be on condition that the sponsor provides kit FOC to members of the club

I think we should change the kit once a year, like the footie clubs do. We can try out different styles and different colours, also, should we consider having winter and summer colours, with the winter ones being slightly brighter due to the lower light conditions.

We could have a year where we have slightly longer shorts, and then maybe a year where we have short shorts. Could consider different pocket configurations and collar types and of course arse slogans which are defo the way to go. When we look at possibilities please make sure we don't discount tartan at the outset, it is growing on me.
