Just got through my dinner, couple of rounds of beans on toast, with all the power meter usage, I am currently thinking, FART POWER would be a suitable slogan.

beans on toast for dinner is that the best your wife can do. I dont you will be able to afford 2 sets of kit per year.

I think its a brilliant idea, is there going to be a few designs for people to vote?

Is there going to be a brainstorm thread for what people want from their kit? IE i'd love a rubber gripper around the inside of the jersy to stop it riding up, like my campag tops have.
Can i just say as a new member of acc i think the club kit looks really good.I know I havnt been wearing it long so i not bored with it yet but compared to a lot of other clubs colours it looks smart and very distinctive. Its easily spotted and stands out. Ive seen it on the humanrace website and i thought i saw it on the bbc today regarding cyclo cross. I for one think the santini quality for the price is ok. I also think that when you deal with a supplier directly although there are savings to be made getting an order togeather can cause headaches at least with gb you can try it for size and feel the quality before you hand over your cash. As ive read on this thread peoples taste do differ quite a bit but i cant belive that people join or not on the basis of kit colour and as for not many woman wearing the kit i think thats because most team sport tops cycling, football rugby etc are quite masculine .woman seem to go for softer single coloured tops well my wife does anyway. Plus i just spent £200 so can we leave it alone!!!!!!
There are no reasons why there cannot be women specific colours / design or if they are to be re-designed then input from the ladies would makesure they have no excuses for not wearing them.

Let's just say that I'm not keen on joining the Pearson gang - they have a ladies kit in pink yuck

I LIKE the club colours and the tops are OK (the ladies shorts weren't any good, they tended to ride up). Women specific kit is all very well but the pockets tend to be naff for actually putting things in.

I tend not to wear club colours much on the cr because I like the rest of my cycling kit too and I don't have a piece of ACC kit for every eventuality because a) I can't afford it and b) they haven't had stuff in stock when I do get to GBs!

Have we had a vote on this?

Actually, there are.

We have registered Gold, black and white as our club colours with BCF. And, whilst most of you know my opinion of that "august institution", a women-specific colour scheme would not be allowed to be used in any BCF sanctioned competition (ie road race, cyclocross race, etc). Would it be reasonable to expect women to buy two sets of kit if they wished to compete?

It's an area that will be explored in due course.

Only Toks has volunteered to help so far. Any more?

Fairest way is to have a vote, as a couple of people have already said, i'm happy with the present kit, but i know there are others who aren't, so yer, lets put it to the vote!

My 2 pennies worth!!
Like a lot of others have already said I like/love the kit as it is very distinctive and I always find it easy to spot other agreeables at sportives, on the road etc. Even my wife sometimes comments that she has spotted agreeables on the road because of the kit and she is so not into cycling.
Of course we are a big club and other options should be considered, thought out and proposed. Glad to see Grahame on the case and I am sure he and whoever else who is on his fashion team will make the right decision for the club going forward.

Okey-dokey. I'll ask Paul to put it onto the agenda for the AGM.

Remember, not everybody has the ability to vote in an online poll, but the AGM is available to everybody.

There is a lot of talk about this and I am sure newbies like mysef will put off buying kit now and wait for a decision to be made. I certinly do not want to outlay c£200 only to hve the same outlay a few weeks or months time.

Hurry up with your decisions :P
