Hi
My friend works at the film company who are associated with this film, he was at the ccycle show...I'll talk to him an find out when and where it'll be showing.

He said it was very good...following the CSC team throughout the Tour De France

I saw about half of it and thought it was very good, despite the poor set-up for screening it at the cycle show. As it's in lots of different languages, you need to see the subtitles to follow the dialogue, unless you're multilingual like Bjane Riis. The problem at the cycle show was people's heads in the way. I believe it was a preview and it's not out on general release for a while.

Hmm pretty good weather site, I norm look at BBC's...but its far to general, I'm not too interested in the weather in the afternoon, as I'll be home by then!

Yep, working in Croydon's does have its benefits, Evans, GB but a walk away..........but more opportunity to spend cash

Riverside Studios in Hammersmith, http://www.riversidestudios.co.uk/cgi-bin/cinemalist.pl, seem to be cycling-film friendly. Maybe we could lobby them to show it? The little bit of it I saw looked ok and surely any documentary on pro-cycling can't be bad.

Whatever happened to the Tyler Hamilton IMAX film though? That was previewed at the show last year but never saw the light of day, probably due to events taking over. Maybe if he gets off we'll get to see it.

from what my contacts have led me to beleive the footage taken for this was originally the footage for the tyler hamilton film to be shown at imax, they were planning on reshooting some of the footage but after the bust Riis said tyler was not to be seen in csc jersey again so the breif brhind the film was changed, as for the lance armstrong film it was matt damon(think robin may be a bit old for that role now)

Overcoming

Postby Paul on the Pearson » Fri Oct 21, 2005 11:37 am

Its good. The editing a bit pop video and some of the statements that appear on screen a bit naff but its definately worth seeing. Managed to watch it all at the 12 o/c viewing on saturday. The 3.15 one was rammmed. There's definately some hairs standing up on the back of the neck moments with good race footage from the team car. Good when Basso takes the Le mongie stage. All in all a good insight into a behind the scenes look at a top team and how easily the whole lot no matter how much training and preparation can suddenly all go pear shaped in a second.... Bobby Julich coming off as Ris passes him a bottle from the car and breaking his wrist. Watching crashes with a fractured arm certainly makes you wince a bit!!
Hopefully may make the CR on the 19th.

Tyler's film will now be about "several riders", even though he'd been back to France for reshoots.

I'm going to e-mail Riverside and plug for Overcoming. Interesting to see where the DVD will be available from. I got a copy of the sensational Hell on Wheels (2003 TdF) from the German Amazon site.

It's dues time again, isn't it?
