It's genius having tiny bars like that Adam - you restrict your breathing, don't actually make your width any narrower as you still have to get your shoulders through a gap, make getting any kind of leverage from the bars almost impossible, and best of all destroy the steering of your bike by effectively replacing the handlebars with a rudder.
