Structural engineers and architects may work in the same field but one veers more towards style and the other one more towards substance - A stuctural engineer will be quite insulted if he is called an architect - and vice versa!
A surveyor can be as good too and a hell of lot cheaper without all the rattles getting thrown out of the pram and temper tantrams. My God I have got so close to really losing it with Architects. They are real hard work.
