Ah, yes. I forgot you'd gone down the factory-built wheels route, thus making repairs more difficult.

How about a bike shop near your office? Do Condor sell them?
Repairs are easy, thats not the issue. It is that I need to get the right spoke for the wheel. The wheels are made to be easily serviced. I've checked out GBs and as we're hiring a car this Saturday I'll get the bike dropped off at GBs that day and hopefully collect later on... hence why no CR.

So, repairs are easy, except that you can't get teh spares to make the repair? That doesn't sound very easy to me   . On a handbuilt wheel, just about any bike shop will have a spoke that will work.

I'm working from home this week.

So, not too far from GBs? You could drop the wheel in during the week.

Alternatively, I could lend you my spare rear wheel. You don't get out of next week's clubrun that easily.
They sell the wheels, but do they sell the spokes?

Yes they do. Scroll down a little bit, and they have kits for racing 3, racing 5 evo and racing 7 wheelsets.

Don't you find the bladed spokes catch sidewinds? I had terrible trouble with my Bontrager Race wheels.

Not really as the blades aren't that big, a tri spoke I might though :D . The only time I've noticed it with Fulcrum 3s or Campag Zondas is a very strong sudden side on gust, and then it's just a slight brief tug (stop sniggering at the back).

I'm just about to fit a new chain to my steed. I don't need a bike shop to mess it up for me, I'm more than capable of doing that myself. :D

It may go wrong as I'm listening to Leona Lewis live on radio 2....and she is so bloody boooorriinngggg....god woman get a personality, with all that money she's making you'd think she could buy one.

Rant over, back to the chain fitting.....

1st- Remove old chain....after finding chain splitting tool

2nd- Make a drink, sit down and watch tele for an hour after getting fed up of Leona and hunting for chain splitting tool.

3rd- Continue hunt for said tool.

4th- Make lunch, all that searching is hungry work.

5th-Search for another 20 mins, blame misses for moving it.

6th- Come to decision chain will last another couple of weeks.

7th - Order new chain splitting tool on line

:D

You have to cut it to the right length whatever the brand
There's nothing to stop you using the KMC links with other brands - I do. It certainly make cleaning chain and gears far easier.
