Damp - expert eye needed

We've got an alarming damp problem coming through from an external wall. Anyone know someone who could take a look, identify the cause of it and generally, y'know, make it go away?

no relation (honest) but I can recommend Shaw Preservations. Used them twice been helpful on both occasions

Mrs I will let you have a copy of this if you really want to know. Not that a book will, like, fix it or anything useful ...
