Marcus,
My boardman won't surface until some good weather shows up, so not for a while. In the meantime it's gonna plug in to my turbo which roughly translates into not being used much. I'm using my commuter bike for this wet n horrible weather.

It won't (the colour) make me go faster, but the limited edition looks great as you can see in the sonic's picture and is the same price as the standard black - thought I'd go for it. :D :D
Will pick it up on Wednesday and post up a piccy.

You could get some matching white kit!

That would be very unkind to the British public

Edo - Saw sonics photo and thought he was the owner.
Hope you get good service from Halfords. Maybe you can comment on this also.

Sorry boys, I didn't take that photo, someone text it to me! I do own a Boardman and do a the odd thing here and there with the Boardman range!

The Boardmans are immense, the white LTD ones are selling like hot cakes and i doubt will be around much into the new year. They are genuinely limited editions!

If you guys are interested in buying or viewing one i can arrange this for you at your local store.

Marcus - why do you ask about the levels of service? Feedback is good but the fact you asked that worries me!

George - Call me 07747198994 and i can source you one.

Boardman is a perfectionist. I think the fact that he trusts his brand with Halfords says that he's pretty comfortable these things are gonna be set up well and looked after. Hats off to both of them - looks like a good partnership to me

Sonic unless you have had your head burried in the sand you will be aware ofthe negative feedback from various forums with regards to the purchasing of Boardman bikes. Infact Boardman has responded to some of these on Bikeradar. There is also I am sure you are aware a snob factor when it comes to Halfords. Besides childrens bikes, I have never purchased an adult bike from Halfords but have used them for many years without complaint.

It is very true that you are more likely to complain if you receive poor service than complement for good service.

It is for this reason that I asked Edo to comment on the level of service he has received. Hoping that it is very positive and he can tell all about it to even the score with the negative feedback.

I also belive that Boardman has been able to sell his bikes so cheaply because of the tie in with Halfords, the hope I'm sure is to sell many at minimum profit. So all in all I believe it is a good association that will benefit the buyer.

It is still a very new partnership and I am sure Boardman and Halfords will only get better and maybe some of the Halford snobs will enter the store in the future (maybe offering test rides will encourage this).

Hopefull you are no longer worried :D

If I bought the white I would only put it on display, I' be afraid to ride it incase it got dirty, so no.
Still waiting for my wife to do it through her cycle to work sceme. It doesn't seem straight forwood if you are the first.
If that cannot be done then will see Sonic.

Ah hah. That's cleared things up.

[quote="Sean Hogan"]Halfords nedxt to St Pauls still have one in the window. I didn't know they were signed by the man himself.

:o :o

I must admit if I had £3,299 then the Race Ready 09 with SRAM Red and Zipp 404 wheels would be very very tempting.

Sean if you had that, the Blingest ACC rider title would be yours!!

I am all to aware of Halfords reputation amongst genuine cyclists... my fear was that you were not satisfied with either a product or service and i was going to offer a solution - nothing to do with Halfords, i just don't want to see my ACC buddies unhappy with a product doesn't meets their needs/expectations.

Thanks Sonic.
The "genuine" cyclists do not know what they are missing in the Boardman range, I suppose many are daily mail readers.

My wife has informed me that she will purchase my bike after Christmas, so I will be speaking to you soon Sonic. :D
