Marcus - why do you ask about the levels of service? Feedback is good but the fact you asked that worries me!
Sonic unless you have had your head burried in the sand you will be aware ofthe negative feedback from various forums with regards to the purchasing of Boardman bikes. Infact Boardman has responded to some of these on Bikeradar. There is also I am sure you are aware a snob factor when it comes to Halfords. Besides childrens bikes, I have never purchased an adult bike from Halfords but have used them for many years without complaint.
It is very true that you are more likely to complain if you receive poor service than complement for good service.
It is for this reason that I asked Edo to comment on the level of service he has received. Hoping that it is very positive and he can tell all about it to even the score with the negative feedback.
I also belive that Boardman has been able to sell his bikes so cheaply because of the tie in with Halfords, the hope I'm sure is to sell many at minimum profit. So all in all I believe it is a good association that will benefit the buyer.
It is still a very new partnership and I am sure Boardman and Halfords will only get better and maybe some of the Halford snobs will enter the store in the future (maybe offering test rides will encourage this).
Hopefull you are no longer worried
