Winter tights

Can anyone suggest any winter tights to keep warm.I know Assos would be nice but you need a small mortgage for them.So any ideas on something a bit more reasonable and comfortable.

I bought a nice pair of Pearl Izumi a few years back and they're the only pair of tights wot I ever bought. Came in around £50 and been worn hundreds of times. Mmmm, pearly Izumi-y.

Endura or Lusso - Lusso being UK based and inexpensive for what it offers.

if you can afford it I suggest buying one of each of the four recommmended brands - wear 'em all at once and whoop de doo - even Santa wouldn't feel the cold through that lot

dhb from Wiggle, Merston are the roubaix ones. Very comfy and excellent value. The 3/4s are also very good, grab both for a superb deal at the moment including the "spend over £50 and get a better deal" deal.

I picked up some dhb 'Merston' bib tights on special at Wiggle a couple of months back and have been very happy with them; very well featured and fantastic value for money at something like £30. They're a bit more expensive now at £40, but still blow away just about anything else under £60 for warmth and features. Available in padded or unpadded versions.

They're for cycling in Jon, not slippery enough for sliding down roads in.

Trust you are okay, not got any big fingers.

Instead of buying tights, just use your comfortable bib-shorts with a pair of leg warmers. No mortgage required. :D

Normally, I would concur. Currently, if thats enough to keep you warm, then you need to lose a few kilo's!

Currently, if you're out on your bike in these icy conditions, you may well have lost your marbles!

And yes, I could stand to lose a kilo or two.

I always use tights and 3/4s as I don't get on with the leg grippers on my thighs on knee/leg warmers. The dhb Earnley 3/4s are non-roubaix and just like normal shorts but with longer legs and I get on much better with these.

As a motorcyclist I used to wear my Wife's tights, besides being warm they are silky smooth against your skin. Mmmm :x
