Yup.

See you there. Even if its not snowy tomorrow (unlikely), I'll do this for a change.

Similar route to last time?

Yup, it's the only one I know :D . Otherwise I'd have gone the "it's down here" (said with confidence) route and worked something out on the hoof.

"Oh baby it's cold outside".

Sue, Grahame, Hal, George, Serge (on his very nice lightweight Giant) and myself at East Croydon for a session of silly buggers in the snow :D .

Beautiful snowy woodland and trails with hard packed gound, apart from the odd small patch that hadn't frozen over but was much less of a bog than it would have been a week ago after all that rain.

A few bits of link road but nearly all out in the countryside and on icy roads so bags of fun to be had with wheel-spinning accelerations, two wheel drifts, and snaky skids :P  :D 8) . Some great comedy moments including tree trunk kicking / branch pulling if you were at the front so that those behind had a bundle of snow dumped on them as they followed you through  .

Just after the picture at the top which is the trail after the climb (walk today for at least half of it due to the ruts and deeper snow) up the side of the golf course George veered off to the left to muck about on the golf course for a minute. I certainly wasn't following him as I had visions of him leading me off the edge of a bunker and finding myself buried head first in a 10ft drift  .

Hal then decided to give us a laugh and went to ride up a bank on the side of the trail and promptly found himself on his backside due to a fallen gatepost buried out if sight in the powdery snow  . He left us shortly after this to be able to turn for home and get back quicker, I think he had an appointment with Santa.

Won't say a word  .

Snowy empty trails and good company. Those pictures just don't do the countryside surrounding the Cronx justice. Not technical but plenty of hills so hard work in the snow.

Thanks for a great ride around trails I never would have found on my own!.

Look forward to the next one. :D

That was much better than doing something useful :P

Really enjoyable, and after my comedy comando roll in the snow I headed back to collect the SL2 (actually its an 09 Tarmac Pro SL) framset. I'm admiring it in the lounge.
