Rosa Cup

Postby Paul H » Sat Dec 19, 2009 2:36 pm

The chap in Nonna Rosa has offered to donate a cup/prize to our club for some sort of club championship.

I said I would let the powers that be know. Anybody interested or have any ideas what it could be used for?

Fastest time up Box Hill for a rider weighing over 100kg.

Oops - make that 99kg.

As a historic club we have many trophies covering just about every racing area and a few social trophies too. However I'm unaware of a sportive trophy so perhaps it could be used for that. Winner could be the most impressive ride, or best performance, greatest show of endurance etc, etc.

How about a ride that involves having to drink coffee and eat cake. What about a mtb challenge ride for the club, on a specific day next year in the summer we could get as many mtbers together and race the south downs way. I don't seem to remember us having any mtb trophies.

cheers

Marek.....

Not a lot, but then The Hernia Trophy makes up for it in weight.

How about a trophy for the freewheel competition?
I.e. the only one I have a realistic chance of winning

I believe we have a MTB trophy, Junior MTB, and Downhill trophy.

I think a sportive trophy is a good idea. As they're not races it doesn't have to go to the fastest / highest position etc, but can be decided on merit.

Like what? Cleanest bike? Fewest red lights jumped? Lowest use of controlled substances?
