Ho ho ho - Festive Beers Anyone?

Postby Snoop Doug » Thu Dec 17, 2009 4:42 pm

So - how's about we go out for a nice festive drinkypoos on Tuesday 29th December?? Maybe start at the half n half - and see what happens next kinda thing. Shall we say from 7.30pm??

Hope to see a good few of you there and we can admire who got the blingiest thing for Christmas - and stuff like that :)

If you want - and if the good landlord permitteth it - I could knock up a foolish quiz with a few crap prizes n the like...?

Whatever - just pitch in with a yay or a nay and awaaaaay we goooooooooo.

Crikey! There are more bike rides over Xmas than you can shake a bike pump at. But try suggesting we all get together for a drink and to spread some xmas good cheer and nada....not a whimper. 61 reads and no replies - come on ACC, who will sign up for this?? I don't wanna drink alone :(

Ho ho ho?

 Lot of suggestions for festive bike rides, but none actually happening me ol mate. I think arranging them makes me feel better whilst I'm consuming all this festive fare. I'm a tentative for that evening Snoopster.

Thought I couldn't make this but I'm now flying back from Belfast on 29th for some unexpectedly early surgery to remove metal work from my ankle...they'd originally told me would be Jan/Feb...so may pop down to half'n'half en route from Gatwick. Due to land 20:40 so will see how long it takes to get through airport & drop you a txt Snoop. But I won't be drinking as I've got to be at Mayday at 07:30 on 30th and don't fancy a general anaesthetic on top of a hangover. (Please do remind me of that if I make it to the pub). If for any reason the surgery gets cancelled at last minute then I'll be available for (easy pace) bike ride on 30th.

[quote="Sean Hogan"]29th is our third attempt to get our stuff from storage into our new place, so by the evening I could well be up for a brew or four. I'll do my best to be there after all it is all downhill from our place now ;-)

Yeah, but a zig-zag uphill all the way back.........

that's a little better folks - at least we know there'll be table dancing along the way :)

If folk are interested we could always toddle along to the royal standard for a nic epint of pride and a game of darts - he he?

I'm working on the 29th but I'll be there if I can, which is likely to be train and weather dependent if it stays this icy. Might go straight there, anyone want to grab some food first?

Eating is cheating.

Possibly. I was going to have the day off - which means Not Going to Croydon At All. But on the other hand, pub or family ....

I might be a bit vague on the food front I'm afraid Amy, it depends if I ride to work / if I can get out early due to the place being dead (unlikely, but I'm ever hopeful). If someone can post the food stop then if I can do that then I'll see you there, t'otherwise just at the half n half.

Beer - defo

Food - seems to be a big ? over that. Given that I shall be polishing the silver @ Snoop towers during the day I shall ask the kitchen staff to rustle me up some cold game pie and the like so I am going to revert to my plan a - beer @ half n half at 7.30.

Hope to see a few folk @ this ho ho ho time of year.
