, and I wasn't suggesting that the winner is the fastest time in a set sportive. It was more a thought along the lines of a committee vote, some of the road race trophies are done in this manner. If there was a tough event that was done in sh1t weather then the rider that did that could beat someone for being in the top 10 in another event, or an older rider who went through more pain and suffering than most younger riders will do in any year just to be able to finish. Or it could be the person who did the most, could vary from year to year depending on who did what. Just a thought .
Another option, although there are already a lot of TT trophies so perhaps not a favourite with some, could be a points based system over all the club 10s and based off of handicap rather than scratch.
