May pop along, see how I is feeling the morning though I may fear I will have over done the sprouts at xmas dinner as I always seem to end up with every bugger elses as they hardly eat them....be warned.

Weather permitting I'll join you and your knowledge of lanes Pete. I like Conor so I'll sit next to him in the pub if no-one else will :D .

You could always try that tactic on a road race

Dunno if we'll have Dad's homegrown tomorrow but I nearly always find the extra 'meat' in them, especially the last one I eat...

Thanks Pete, a great post Christmas pudding spin. Nice lanes and a couple of testing hills in the mix, a double chevron one to make folk earn their pie and pint :D .

I sadly had to skip the pint, which was difficult, as I'm out early evening so rode back a bit with George, Serge and Ben before Ben and I turned off to climb Tithepitshaw to our cuppas.

Thanks again Pete.

Nice to see a lot of familiar friendly faces today. Sorry I wasn't with you for longer but I couldn't make it down hilltop and so reluctantly turned back.

The real shame is that I didn't get a chance to read out all the cracker jokes I've saved up. What's that? You'd like to hear a couple anyway...? Oh, all right then:

Q - What did the beaver say to the tree?
A - nice gnawing you!

Q - Why didn't the skeleton go to the New Year's Eve party?
a - He had nobody to go with!

More next year - if you're really unlucky.

Thanks Pete et all for a very enjoyable ride today through some lovely country lanes that were blessed with spring like weather.

It was nice to ride with some other club members than those I usually meet in the 17's.

The climb up White hill made me feel less guilty about the 1/4 pounder and 1/2 Guiness I had.

Thanks also to Rob, Ian and Amy for providing the lubricating entertainment over lunch.

Sorry about that - some b@st@ard bought me a second large glass of wine - Ian, I will put some EMbrocation on your saddle next time...

Other than that it was a good ride, some stops while we worried where Snoop was and a puncture. Sorry, Snoop, I got down the bottom of the first hill and then remembered - I had hoped you'd made it :( The jokes do not make up for having your company on the ride: I had to put up with Ian...

Nice ride, a few lanes I haven't been on in a long while - more please!!

Barely noticed Connor but some guy called Ian Pringle aka Djembi - come on Marco, sort him out! was really annoying - bit like Donkey in Shrek...
