Blind cleaners in the area?

Postby sonic909 » Tue Dec 29, 2009 4:45 pm

As in venetian blinds, not a maid with a guide dog!

I have one that needs doing, its never been properly cleaned in 5 years and is grimey, i am too lazy/busy to do it... i have been getting quotes of about £60 which is fine but they all are miles away so want "callout" charges of about £40.

Anyone ever got a blind cleaned locally?!

Bloody hell Keith  Just think of the stuff you can buy with £60. And don't be such a lazy git.

I actually got one of those for xmaS!

"blind professionally cleaned" was on my list... they got me that and some anti static stuff.... FAIL.

Use a damp cloth and diy.
£50-60 is worth it to have your oven cleaned, not blinds, imho. Same as bike shop servicing - I'd quite happily pay up to £50 to have a headset or bb faced and fitted or forks/shock serviced. But that's it. Anything else can be done onself.

A pair of Conti 4000S at full rrp for a start.

Get 'em in the sales and you'll likely have a tenner left over - that's three weeks' tea and cake/bacon sarny at the caff.
Check out www.chainreactioncycles.com or Butler's sale for other goodies.

As I told my 9 year old when he argued that £15 for a PS3 game was "not very much" - "Here's a shovel, go and dig a border for Mummy at minimum wage and see how it feels to earn fifteen quid". :D

Judging by the state of the coffee-cup rings on my desk, I'd say we have blind cleaners here.
