Thanks to Grahame for taking us to Brooklands today in his beautiful and super comfy car. Also good to see Sylv again post op and meet his Dad.
I've never been to Brooklands before and if you like old cars and planes, and also bikes then it's a great place to go. I knew a bit about its motoring history but not the level of aeronautical history or that it was used in the 30s for cycle racing, as well as the car and plane sheds there's also a bike shed with some smashing old bikes in it. I'll definitely have to make a trip back for a more thorough look around and a trip on the Concorde Experience as today was a lot about all the cars folk had brought out.
A few pictures for a flavour (Grahame's car deliberatly left out as it's an open forum viewable by nasty types).
Some of the cars people had brought out in to the sun.

The rather tasty 24 litre Napier Railton

Which has some serious suspension

Concorde's pointy bit, close up the plane looks surprisingly small and is unbelievably thin and delicate looking.

From the bike shed. Do you break chains with your strength? Try this one then (although the gear looks a bit small), a one inch pitch jobbie.
