If you want to race time trials then you want one Keith. It holds, along with umpteen pages of regs and the like no-one reads, details of every open (not club specific like our evening 10s) time trial in the country. It will tell you which course it's on (and the code to look up in the back where that is and its details), the date, time 1st rider is off, price, name and address of promoter so you know who to send your cheque to. It will probably confuse the hell out of you but give a shout and someone can run you through it all at a convenient time - club room, pub etc.

hmmmm, to Andrew's point...

I wonder if we could approach the mighty Ben Instone and see if he might host a TT turbo session @ the club room soon? Perhaps wrap into that a quick talk about TTing how to get involved etc. I seem to recall he enjoyed Chloe's delicious cake - maybe he is open to a confection related pay off??

Does anyone know him well enough.....just an idea

Ben did a series of turbo training sessions with Redhill last winter (clicky link), and it looks as though they have a large enough number of masochists to have started up a turbo evening (clicky link). I don't know if Ben's joined 2nd claim but either way I think it would only be worthwhile if a reasonable number could commit as definites, it would be a pity to waste Ben's time if only 2 or 3 turned up.

I think someone mentioned the idea of using the clubroom for turbo evenings in the past, don't know why nothing happened, maybe the problem of carting turbos and bikes and stuff down to the club room. As you said Snoop turbo use tends to be largely to fit in with time constraints which may not lend itself to club room use.

yep - forgot to ack the good folk @ redhill - for t'was indeed their idea. I'm sure if set up and PR'd it could work, and work well. I'm not willing to organise this one - but would highlight it in a Lanterne Rouge if it went ahead. Probably just a one off thing but hey....who knows.

Anyway, back on topic, anyone else want a handbook?

I'm planning on being on the club run on Saturday to dish out the first lot.

I'll make sure I've got a suitable pocket, is it the same size as last year?

Hi Jon, I can't make it down to the club run on Saturday. If Aodan isn't there on Saturday when is the next opportunity for me to pick one up?
PM me your number and we can make an arrangement if you think that'd help.

Thanks,

Maria

Jon

I`ve made arrangements for Steve B (Shadow) to pick my handbook up.

If you should see him at Charlwood, give him a gentle reminder just in case he forgets.
I know you will want to lighten your load.

Cheers
