my seatpost ALWAYS slips down when riding if i stick to the guideline torque using a torque meter.
Ive had rocking problems with headset when top-cap and stem are only tightened to the recommended torque.
The plastic cap on shimano hollowtech chainsets undoes itself on my bike if i stick to the recommended torque.
The right torque depends on a number of factors about your other set up and componentry - what material it is/amount of grease/spacers, so don't think you can just stick to the recommended torques and everything will be ok.
