Wow. That was entertaining! Thought it was a smidge slipply setting out this morning, but the road mainly seemed just damp.... and Titsey was a breeze. Then riding across the top of the downs I kept finding myself sliding couple of inches sideways.
Ok slowed right down. eased up. turned right. and down I went weee. ok let the tyres down a bit. slowed down even more. kept one foot out on the dodgy parts. and down again. and again.

on the other hand I didn't feel so bad when I turned a corner to be faced with a 4x4 on its roof!

yeah it was just over the top of the downs that was tricky as soon as it started going down again roughly alongside biggin hill then the ice was gone.
just that i'd got to that point of no return there just wasn't any point turning around to try to go back.

amazing just how bad the road was though, one of those freak weather conditions, the drivers were really struggling too. expect it all melted as soon as the sun rose a bit.

lots of aches today from the bumps and a bit of nasty road rash but nothing too bad (apart from overshoes shredded) and bike fine after last nights workshop attention!
