ACC London Beers March 17th

Postby Snoop Doug » Wed Feb 24, 2010 6:14 pm

Yo folks

We're going out in the big smoke on March 17th for a beer or two. why?

a) we like beer
b) pubs have dart boards and some of us like darts
c) we like beer

plus any other beer related reason you can think of.

If that were not enough we'll also be saying bon voyage to Sean afore he wends his way East avec famille.

There seems to be some debate over where we should meet. Herding cats springs to mind  . We'll not manage to please everyone but if you are interested in coming along can you please vote on the poll for your preferred location.

We'll go with the most popular choice as at 8pm this Friday, 26th Feb.

Once we have the approximate vicinity nailed we'll get a suitable hostelry lined up. Democracy, sucks, innit  :D

Cheers - Snoop

Thats also St Patricks day I think, so pubs could be pretty busy.

It is indeed St P's day, so there'll doubtless be a few folk out claiming all sorts of Irish ancestry in the name of beer. We'll cope I'm sure....to be sure

Decided not to vote meself - I can get back from all three locations so will remain independent. Clapham Junction sneaks into an early lead on the polls...more news when we get it...

Might be up for this but just a few problems

a) I don't like beer
b) don't like darts
c) don't like beer

and oh, it's St Patrick's as Rob points out...

Doesn't really matter where as London Bridge is easy from work but a pig to get home from later in the evening, whereas I can get a train home from Victoria or CJ direct but it takes a bit more effort to get from work to them.

a) Pubs dont just sell beer
b) Darts wont be high on the agenda if theres other agreeables to chat too!

St Patricks day meet up... whats wrong with that... dont tell me people have other plans for St Patricks day (other than a pub pilgrimage!?) If anything it will add to the fun... silly Guinness hat and a packed atmospherical pub! Whoop whoop!

Live a little!

Never got the St Patricks day thing :? Sure if you are Irish but i don't get the wearing silly hats and Irish rugby shirts when you are English, i love a drop of the black stuff but i think we should celebrate st Georges day more, in fact lets make it a public holiday! :D

How d'you know...depends how many of the ACC darts team turn up eh? I was only kidding, though if a board is available - I'm up for a quick game along the way. Voting getting busy, looks like we're heading Clapham way just @ the mo...quite a crowd 8)

Clapham Junction absolutely walked it in the end. So - CJ it is.

Suggest we meet at this Falcon pub with the enormous bar and take it from there. Timing wise I guess some folk'll come straight from work so how does from 5.30 onwards sound?

Pub address: 2 St. Johns Hill, Clapham Junction, London, SW11 1RU

They do food...so the website sez.

Looking forward to it 8)

Since Sean is off to the far east, and I am off the Belgie, can we hijack this and make it a fair well shindig!?
