I seem to get sent stuff. Some of it might be of interest to members. A summary below the fold.

Ride 101
It is with great pleasure that we are very pleased to announce the return of “Ride_101” for 2014.
Building on from the success of 2013 and in association with British Cycling supporting the “Injured Soldiers Fund” of the “101 & 33 Engineer Regiments” at Carver Barracks, Essex –  we would like to invite you and your colleagues to take part in this rather special Sportive… and this year we’ve added in another distance so that you can choose either 75 miles or the 101.
Four Counties, three feed stations (including various choices of hot food at the return!), two wheels and one rider – you!
This Sportive has been designed with specifically for you the rider, your colleagues and your Club.
The route focuses on the quieter roads of Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire and Suffolk and we’ve tweaked a few sections to bring you through even quieter roads and some amazing countryside.
With over 101 miles of rolling hills, over 1000 metres of climbing, chip timing that will send you a text to your mobile phone with your finish time, off road parking facilities, men’s and women’s changing rooms with showers and no limits..
Ride entry and all information is available on the British Cycling website or via this link:-

Marie Curie Cancer Care

Marie Curie Cancer Care is the official Charity partner of the Tour de France Grand Depart. As such, we are able to offer an unparalleled cycle challenge called the Power Peloton. This is, without doubt ‘the ride of your life’ in cycling terms.

If you can help us to spread the word to your members, we’d be very grateful,  itinerary details are attached.

As an elite member of Marie Curie’s Power Peloton you will have the opportunity to ride Stage 1 of the Tour de France, riding ahead of Cavendish, Froome and the professional team.

You will ride into Harrogate on closed roads, to rapturous crowd applause as you cross the official finish line and will have your once in a lifetime photo moment on the podium before attending the TdF dinner that evening. The ‘reunion’ is a VIP trip to the Tour de France finale in Paris to see the yellow jersey claimed for 2014.

The itinerary is also hosted on the PP webpage: www.mariecurie.org.uk/powerpeloton , we would be very grateful if you are able to help us by sharing with contacts who may be interested.

If anyone would like to be part of the peloton or would like to discuss it in further details, please telephone me on: 07984 022066 or email: Cheryl.barrett@mariecurie.org.uk.
