Interclub TT vs Redhill CC – ACC Win

Tuesday evening on the hilly GS335 circuit between Bletchingly and Godstone was the site of the annual ACC vs Redhill CC inter-club TT. 15 or so riders from each club take on the 10.6 mile course with the fastest 6 riders from each club having their times added together. Lowest aggregate time wins the bragging rights for the next 12 months.

The course is made up of a few long descents, some undulating country lanes and a couple of steep leg sapping climbs at the very end. Many people prefer their road bikes for the climbs and descents, but the brave (or mad) riders were still on their TT rigs for that extra bit of speed.

With almost perfect weather and some of the strong men of both clubs there it was going to be a close competition with some good climbs.  Three people manage to go wrong and turn too early (another inconsiderate event had left their yellow and black signs up), two managed to correct themselves in the first few yards one rider unfortunately managed to go 6 miles before turning back.

ACC won with a time of 2:45:30 vs Redhill CC’s 2:52:56, full results below, and bring on Norwood Paragon in two weeks time.
