Alternatives Ride – Saturday 14th December 2019

Weather is looking a little brighter than usual on Saturday, so a good opportunity to work off the office party indulgence with a longer ride than usual heading to Smithbrook Kiln near Cranleigh.

The ride is 62 miles, with no major climbs and starts at Coulsdon South Station (usual meeting time is 9am). The route takes up over to Walton-on-the-Hill, Betchworth, Newdigate, Capel, along a flattish route to Cranleigh and then Smithbrook Kiln. The return route takes us back via the infamous Wear Street and back over to Capel, Newdigate, for the usual route home.

This is medium paced ride (equivalent to the 17mph group), waiting for stragglers at the top of drags and
climbs.
