ACC Announces Summer Off-Road Programme
Ian Wilkinson, ACCs off-road organiser, has scheduled monthly, long off-road rides, on the last Sunday of each month. First ride is on 25th April to Polesden Lacey.
Polesden Lacey (Polesden Lacey | National Trust) is a National Trust owned house near Dorking, with beautiful gardens, rolling hills and mandatory cake stop!
Departing from the bottom cattle grid at Farthing Downs at 9am we will ride 42 miles, mostly on bridleways, trails and a few hills (3,000 feet of them!).
The route is suitable for MTB, Gravel and CX Bikes. Please sign up on Makesweat to book your place. We have allowed for 6 people but will judge based on signups.
Further long-distance rides are scheduled for the last Sunday of every month.
Ian has also scheduled Wednesday evening rides starting 26th May, leaving Farthing Downs at 6pm.
The Wednesday Evening Off-Road rides will depart from Farthing Downs bottom cattlegrid at 6pm.
These rides will normally be 2-3 hours in the local area, possibly with a visit to a local hostelry as allowed by government regulations. Be sure to bring lights and a jacket as it gets chilly in the evenings. Please sign up on Makesweat.
