ACC Club Runs to resume
With the relaxation of COVID rules, British Cycling are now sanctioning Club Activities as long as we comply with their Track & Trace protocols, Social Distancing guidelines etc. Please read the full guidance here:
British Cycling Guidance
On this basis, we intend to phase in Club rides starting Easter weekend. Each ride will have a limit to the number of riders.
Please only pick a ride where you are comfortable with the pace and numbers attending. If you have not done much group riding or unsure of your ability, please pick a slower group and let the VC/Ride Leader know before the ride starts.
To participate on a Club Ride, you need to first read the British Cycling guidance, the updated Risk Assessment which includes COVID mitigations and refresh yourself with the Code of Conduct. Both can be downloaded here:
Risk Assessment
Code of Conduct
You will also need to be a fully paid-up ACC member and have valid third party insurance. If you are not currently an ACC member and would like to join a ride, please contact captain@addiscombe.org first and complete a Guest Form
All Club Rides will be advertised on Makesweat to comply with the Track and Trace protocols. You will need to book yourself on a ride by selecting an available ride on our page:
Addiscombe Rides
There should be more rides posted later in the week so keep an eye on the page.
Please do not turn up for a ride on the day if you have not booked yourself in advanced.
Follow social distancing guidelines at the start and stops e.g. keep 2m apart and do not congregate in groups larger than 6 etc. Everybody is expected to know the rules and comply without being asked to.
All rides will leave promptly but please check Makesweat in the morning before leaving in case there any unforeseen last-minute changes. We appreciate that there are not many choices, but please respect the advertised speed and only join a ride you can ride comfortably in without overexerting yourself.
