Croydon RC road races @ Woldingham, August 1980.The report in the Croydon Advertiser read “John Withey (Addiscombe CC) continued his winning run with a victory in the Croydon RC 80 mile road race over 8 laps of the tough Woldingham circuit. He broke away after 4 laps and stayed on his own to win by 1 1/2 minutes. He also took 5 primes and won the KOM prize. In the 5 lap event for juniors and 3rd cats. Phil O’Conner was 3rd and Mark Rayward 8th in a sprint finish.”
