ACC kick off 2022 racing season

Team Addiscombe started the 2022 racing season by competing at Abingdon Airfield yesterday.

Jon Wileman took part in his first ever road race in the 4th Cat race and did a fine job by coming in 6th place. Jon has been riding in the TG group since the summer learning the trade which I am pleased to see is paying off and expect plenty more results this year from him.

Matthew Halvatzis and I competed in the 3rd Cat race and we both had an active race spending time in front of the group. I managed to get in the winning break of four but found myself on the wrong side of a split when a young lad attacked just after I rolled to the back after taking a turn at the front. He went on to win and averaged 331w for the whole race so clearly talented.

Leon Parks  was also racing a bit later on yesterday at the Lee Valley Full Gas Winter Masters. The race was very competitive and Leon finished approx. 20th in the bunch.
