Alternatives Ride – Saturday 16th November 2019
Weather is looking dry for Saturday though a bit on the cold side, so a good opportunity to ignore your Zwift mates and gets some fresh air. As we haven’t been over to Kent for a while we are heading for the village of Eynsford to the Riverside Tea Room next to the picturesque ford.
The ride is 48 miles, with no major climbs and starts at Coulsdon South Station (usual meeting time is 9am). The route takes up over Farthing Down to Woldingham, then along the top of the North Downs to Knockholt, then down to Pratts Bottom, a quick sharp climb up to Chelsfield, scross some impressive countryside, and then finally back down to Eynsford. The return route takes a back along the Pilgrims Way for the most direct way home.
This is medium paced ride (equivalent to the 17mph group), waiting for stragglers at the top of drags and climbs.
