Wide Open Ten

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Well said Sean (and congrats on the time), thanks to everyone including those who stood by the roadside and shouted encouragement, although my none to impressive 27.30 (bringing up the rear of the ACC contingent  ) didn't deserve it. It was much appreciated as watching riders solo up and down a dual carriageway hardly makes for the best spectator sport.

Can't get my head around this TT malarkey, i don't seem to be able to zone out and I find my mind drifting and my speed slowing, so my times have hardly improved over the 6 or 7 I've done this year. Oh well only the Presidents 10 next week - on fixed  - and then on to Toks RR, maybe I'll find that suits me more than the lonely road.

Cheers,
Andrew.

P.S. Finally got over to Herne Hill this morning to squeeze in the intro session. Mainly just getting people used to riding fixed as most hadn't before, also basic lessons in track manners. Well run by VCL and definately going to make the effort to get over for some proper sessions next year. Would recommend if you've never tried it before and are curious.

Some great times in there. Andrew - my apologies that you had to bring up the rear - had I not been marshalling I would of course have lit my lanterne rouge!

Fantastic effort Sean!...I knew you had it in you. You were just saving it for a late season surge. Big things are gonna happen in 2007 I can't wait :D

Congratulations to everyone who rode. We finished as second team and may have done slightly better if I hadn't dropped my chain (unfortunately I'm not quite as agile as David Millar when putting it back on on the move  ).

More importantly thanks to everyone who helped out. Without marshalls etc these events simply can't happen. Those that volunteered made my life a lot easier and made the event go smoothly.

TT

Well done Sean, a brilliant ride. My date with destiny in the race of truth is rapidly approaching. The Presidents ten will be my initiation into the mysteries of the TT world, I'd be chuffed if I round in half an hour.
