New Zealand Wine Evening - 20th August 2014

Hi there All,

I am currently training for the ride I am doing in September, the Deloitte Ride Across Britain, but instead of simply asking people for sponsorship I thought I'd give something back too. The idea is to host a wine evening at 7.30pm on the 20th August 2014.

The format of the evening will be informal and hopefully fun and informative! It will be a tutored tasting (by myself) that features taste size samples of at least 9 wines which I'll talk through. You don't have to know anything about wine although liking it would be a good start! Everything for the wine part of the evening will be covered by myself, I will not be able to provide food beyond crackers but I'll make sure the venue has meals prior to the night starting. I need to gauge interest to find the right size room but it will be located around the Croydon/Selsdon area.

I thought £10 minimum sponsorship per person for free entry seemed fair. Just sponsor me at the link below and add (ACC WINE) in the comment section.

Just so you know the list of wines I've added them below. They range from £15.00 to £50.00 per bottle retail so the £10 entry is pretty good value!

Just a short update. Its been tricky to judge the interest for this event and sort the right size venue. I've decided to cancel this for now however if the club is ever looking for a fund raising idea then I'd happily recreate it another day in the future.
