On Bentley this morning, left in sunshine but was overcast and a bit windy there with a cross wind on the course. This meant the out leg was fairly tough as normal as it's more draggy, but you didn't get the benefit on the return.
Was interested to see how my leg would be after the infected insect bite and finishing the antibiotics yesterday. It was okay to 15 miles when it stated to ache a bit and it was killing me at the finish, but after twiddling back to HQ in my lowest two gears was okay again.
Finished with 1:02:30 which was okay considering. Knee should be better for the SCCU 100 next week, although I have done nowhere near the miles/training needed for a 100 so will just ride it as a training ride. It's more like a sportive than a TT on its current course.
Rob did a short 1:05 on his comeback from illness and accident at the start of the year, good to see him healthy and racing.
