Pantani film, meal first?

Anyone else going to see the Pantani film on Monday? Fancy a meal/drink first?

We're all going but Tom has drumming until 6:00 so a bit tight to get in a meal first.

I see it's sold out.

PS: No spoilers.

You wouldn't guess that if you visit Cessana and the area, bit keen on him there they are, ever so slightly fanatical in that subdued manner the Italians go in for.

I went over the Cippo climb up by Carpegna, is the hill that Pantani used to use as training, is a toughie, awful road surface and long and steep. Is about a 20km climb to get to the proper part of the climb and then it is properly tough.

They have a memorial on the top to Pantani and loads of cycling signs up all the way up, they took the Giro over it this year, I thought they might have resurfaced it but they didn't bother, really dodgy horrible descent.

They love Pantani in that area because cycling must be one of the money spinners, people love to come and train on the roads of their idols.

The Italians seem to idolise a known drug cheat who died of a cocaine overdose, I suppose it does explain why Berlosconi kept on getting voted in.

Cheers

Good film.

The thing is, out of all the drug cheats in that era, he was one of the most charismatic.

Yes good film.

It's a great climb isn't it Marek, but yes that narrow gravely descent is a saddle clencher. Did you go over to San Leo afterwards? It's beautiful.
