Great stuff, Kylie! I'll be bringing (hopefully) 2 sponge cakes (vanilla, if I remember to put the vanilla drops in), two banana bread and two trays of flapjacks. We can claim expenses back from the club too :)

Good thing about being in the canteen is that it doesn't matter what the weather is like

Cheers Amy, I'll think up a few different things to bring.

I'll let Tina off then! Especially as he/she must be due soon...

Thanks to Sue and Karen for volunteering to bake a few cakes before they escape the country for the weekend. Sue says she make a couple of lemon drizzle cakes and some more flapjacks (with chocolate chips in). Any leftovers can be taken home - I find work a very good place to get rid of otherwise unwanted cake... Though I should make work some banana bread specially, as, for some reason, they keep begging me to bring some in

Starting to look like we'll have a decent spread - Sarah is bringing me some brownies (the ones that are acceptable to eat  ) Good, cos I'd just remembered I'd made some sort of brownie last time and while I thought them nice, they didn't go as such -and I can't be bothered to make them this time!

Hi All,
my lemon drizzle cakes are ready and in the freezer and the chocolate flapjacks will be ready tomorrow evening. I am leaving for Gatwick at 6am Friday morning so need to get the cakes to someone before then, preferably Thursday. I am working/out until 5.30pm then due in Croydon at 7pm so could drop them off around 6.30ish preferably to someone fairly nearby (I live in Old Coulsdon). Just let me know who and where to get them to!! Thx. :)

Hi Sue. I've sent you a mail. I live fairly close so I can take your (much appreciated) cakes down to the HQ.

I am beginning to suspect that this bike racing lark is just an excuse for cake binge-eating :D

I have some questions about canteen duty:
1. What time should we be there:
2. Do we need to supply cups for tea/coffee/water or anything other than our baked treats?

I will be bringing Date & Nut clusters and something savoury - probably a roast vegetable frittata. I've also bought a stack of bananas, which hopefully will be ripe enough to eat by Sunday.

Excellent.

As for time, the event starts at 6:30 (well, 6:39) but people will be signing on before that. I'd say around 6:00 if you want to see the best of me having a major stress episode.

The hall say that the kitchen is equipped with everything we need. Fingers crossed.
