London & SE Cyclo-Cross League 2015/2016 Rounds 1-6

The London & SE Cyclo-Cross League 2015/16 is up and running, with 5 rounds already completed. Nine ACC members have taken part in various rounds so far, as well as a couple of potential future members/stars - though the gold and black hasn't been as widely seen!
Most of our entrants have been in the combined Vetrans and Womens race, where V40's set off first, followed a minute later by All Women, then a further minute later us V50's are let loose at the back of the (congested) field. Whilst not emulating the success of the road team (Lesley apart, who's storming the WV50 category), a lot of fun is being had by all.

Isn't this a winter sport? Even hotter for round two, and twice up the hill every lap too. Too tough for me just back from hols, still at least I didn't puncture after 90 seconds eh Paul?

A noisy, cowhorn-laiden, bloodthirsty crowd provided a Belgiumesqe feel to the cosy (or cramped) course at the velodrome, and a cyclocross debut for Felix.

Hard and fast, windy and deceptively tough. I crashed halfway through, followed by 3 1/2 laps of sulking - so unlike me! Paul succesfully avoided 3 puncture dnf's in a row.

Glorious week in London, the good folk of East Kent clearly weren't so blessed, Wet and muddy, the first "proper" cross of the year. Yuk!
