Track Bike

As the season is getting on a bit now - attention is beginning to turn towards a few end of season torture events - a.k.a. Hill Climbs.

On most of the climbs, the serious guys use Track Bikes - direct gearing and mega lightweight. Given the same componentry, I'm sure I can make these guys suffer. I've started looking in to buying one - but for a bike with lightweight components you can easily spend £1000+. This is a lot for 4 or 5 events per year. You can spend less - but they they get a bit heavy.

Given the size of the club - maybe someone has got one that they won't need late season - esp in Sept and October? If so, kindly post a reply. I'm sure we'll be able to come to some arrangement.....

Size? If you don't know me or can't guess which Tony this is - I'm about 5ft 7in (sorry can't get used to metric) of normalish arm and leg length for that height. This could be roughly equivalent to a 52-54cm frame size measured from ??? to ???

Thanks.
