Hillingdon

Postby Rob » Tue Aug 05, 2003 10:27 pm

Ramon had txt me saying he couldnt make it, and ajay didnt reply to my message, so i set of to hillingdon with my friend shane thinking i would be a lone soldier. When i arrived, i met two ACC men id never really seen before, martin and i think it was brian.

the race set of with 42 riders, i sat at the back for three laps with brian saying that a break shouldnt really happen with teh field out tonight...i spoke to soon, as soon as my sentence ended i saw someone break on the straight.i worked up the outside to join them as we had a 12 man break.

we stayed away for the rest of the race as i coached the 12 men on our addiscome dual carriageway tactics of through and off. time passed, and we dropped down to 6 men, the guy in charge rode up explaining we were 1 minute ahead.
3 laps left, i kept everyone working together, my mate shane who i rode over with asked me to lead him out on the final straight, i cranked upto 38mph n was off, but by the time i was at the hill, i was hit by a strong wind and was dead, so i cheered for shane knowing that i didnt have to sprint as i was guaranteed a placing

6th place £9

brain took roughly 11th and martin was just behind
so good night for ACC

i was promoted last night upto A group at herne hill in my first season, so its been a good week

i was riding home feeling great, glad that i had no injuries from crashes because i have my part 2 police recruitment test tomorrow

once again spoke to soon, some numb nut turned right on me, i managed to stay up n smash of his mirror, but i got a bruised left leg!!!!

thats life i guess :D

another tuesday

Postby Rob » Wed Aug 13, 2003 9:09 pm

only about 18 laps, with an average of 25mph. made an early attack, no one followed so i dropped to the back of pack and suffered as i started to get dropped! took me a few laps to catch up.in the end lap, sat on a wheel, half way up final hill, made break, was slightly too early, my friend shane sprinted past me, but i was well clear for a second place.

four addiscombe were present, and one guy who had no acc kit, and wasnt a member, but rode under our name!!! (everyone wants to be part of the ACC)
