Rob,

I'm the organiser of the Open 10 on the 20th, and you're already on my list of helpers.

Cheers,
Jon

I'm sorry but I have to tell everyone what happened at the weekend. Rob had volunteered to marshall at the Southern Counties 25 (for which he scores maximum points - I didn't even have to ring to hassle him). In fact he was to be a pusher off. He was supposed to be in Robin Hood Lane, by the Robin Hood roundabout, by 6.45am. Which he was. Only he was at Robin Hood Lane by the Robin Hood roundabout in Richmond Park. This would be an understandable mistake, except that I had sent him the start sheet. Which set out the full course. Which was near Horsham. Over 30 miles away from Richmond park. Laugh? I nearly did.

Anyway, I will ask Linda to count this as a completed marshalling duty for Rob. Even though he didn't make it to the race, he did try, and he gave me a bloody good laugh. And he is one of our best riders, so we have to be nice to him.
