For the last five weeks it has rained on a Saturday, I think this is payback for the nice summer we have had.
Today there were 7 of us who met up for the club run in the driving rain at CSS. Including two newbees, who unfortunately we dropped quite early on.
We decided to take a short loop up to box hill around the Ballbuster course in reverse and back to CSS. Only about 50km in all but enough in the weather we encountered.
As we came out of Chipstead one of the newbees started to drop back, I checked if he was ok and he told me to carry on, it was a bit too cold to wait around so I caught back up with the group. The other newbee stopped a little further up the road to wait for his friend. Hopefully they won't be put off as we did not wait but it was cold and peeing it down. Monty if you read this I think it was Dave and Mark, maybe you should explain that in poorer conditions there only tends to be one group and therefore not all speeds get catered for.
Steve Bayliss and Tony Kelly pulled us along for much of the ride keeping a nice steady pace.
Lets hope this rain takes a break over XMAS.
Cheers
Marek....
