The President's 10

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Are people riding the start of the club run going to this? I might have missed it in the post, but cannot see where the start is.

Sylv the start is Spook Hill in North Holmwood. Course is up the A24, straight on (2nd exit) at 1st RAB, turn at 2nd RAB (Capel) and retrace A24. Finish is on A24 just before you get to the RAB Spook hill comes off of.

Jon, something to do with CTT regs and number of places requested at the start of the year.

First rider starts at 10 so you'd probably have time to ride there if you left at 9 on the dot.

A group of us rode out a couple of years ago via Chipstead Valley and down Pebblecombe. It was a steady spin rather than a thrash down and we left at 8:30ish and arrived in plenty of time.

Anyone definitely up to riding to the start? We could meet Coulsdon South at 8.30.

Any takers?

o, well, something to think about for next year - increase the max entry limit...

perhaps a fairer way to allocate places if an event is full is to give then to members who have actually stewarded an event in the season (might help Snoop in his onerous task). or is that too radical???  someone raise it at next committee meeting

Cheers

Me too, but now I find that Mrs T jumped in and organised something else when I told her the track was off, so won't be there after all.

Will be the first President's 10 I have missed for....many years..!!!
