Virtual Time Trial January Week 3
Week 3 of the Paris leg of the ACC Winter Virtual Time Trial series saw the return of Paul Hone and Ben Whyatt who had an excellent tussle with Dylan Kingaby in their private junior battle!
They all turned in excellent performances on our TdF course around the Champs Elyseé
Paul took the Open Competition in 23.13, with Stephen Garvey 30s behind in 2nd and Jacek Wieckowski a further 52s back in 3rd
Ben was just 2 seconds ahead of Dylan in 24.38. Dylan’s Dad George Kingabyadvises that Dylan is wrecked. No update yet on the state of Ben from Alyson Whyatt!
Paul takes the Vets Competition, with Jacek in 2nd place and Del Cobb third.
Top three in the handicap were Ivor Chung, Dylan Kingaby and Tim Leonard. Ivor took an impressive 1m 20s off his time, with Dylan also taking a creditable 53s off his time.
Winner of the handicapping yourself award was me. I realised just after the start that I was riding my TT bike, but I’d left Zwift’s top climbing wheels on my bike. Not much use on a largely flat course. No idea how much difference it makes, but I guess I’ll find out next week!
