Wednesday Evening MTB Rides Kick-Off

Wednesday 26th May saw the kick-off (or Grande Depart?) of the ACC Wednesday Night off-road rides.
These are social, no drop rides exploring the wilder parts of Surrey and usually taking in a pub.
The ride went from Farthing Downs, through Happy Valley, up to the North Downs Way, along to Reigate Hill and stopping at the Sportsman Pub at Mogador.
11 riders turned up on a mix of MTB, CX and Gravel Bikes, a little muddy in places after the rain but reasonably warm and stunning views across Surrey.
There was a very warm welcome at the Sportsman, where we had a drink and a bite to eat. I thoroughly recommend the burgers!
It just required a ride back home along quiet lanes with a beautiful sunset across the fields.
Next week’s ride will depart at the slightly later time of 6.30pm, again from the bottom cattle grid of Farthing Downs. The route will head out towards Bletchingley, please sign up on Makesweat.
